#WhatHappened

It still surprises me that after elections, more and more people here in America tend to express discrimination even more. I just don't understand why there is a need to do that when all of us are not a pure native of a country. Each of us has ancestors from different nations and by tracing one person's DNA, an ancestry can be known. We may think and believe that we are a citizen of one sole nation but people who think that way are missing the point. In my opinion, these topics and events about racism and discrimination happened because others feel insecure or threatened about or towards a situation.

Due to the recent events, there are a lot who labels the talks about what is happening around US as "Trump Effect". If you search through all the search engines in the internet or even scroll through social media sites like Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, or even Snapchat, a lot of people are expressing their thought of hatred, disappointment, and happiness towards the results of the elections.

During the electoral process, I began thinking what will happen to America. Michelle Obama stated in her speech that what made this country great is due to immigrants which leads me to a thought about why would there even be a divided community. All of us are human beings born in this world living 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. I don't think people are different. There is no need to label people due to skin color, nor from where they are from.

There are a lot of talks in the news or in the internet about hoping that Trump will be a good president. He promised a lot of things during the campaign but hopefully he keeps his word about compromising and not creating conflict. America is already a great country as it is. There are just a lot of people who turn a blind eye or immediately closes off their ears and minds to what can be positive.
