Friendship isn't always easily described. The Eskimos, they say, have a hundred different words for snow. Unfortunately, the English language isn't quite as innovative, though it has vast opportunities to differentiate meaning. Certainly, Love is one of those opportunities. And so, too, is Friendship.
Instead of different words, however, we're stuck with simple adjectives. Close friend. Best friend. Childhood friend. Intimate friend. Trusted friend. Beloved friend. But whether you use adjectives or different words, few could deny the nearly infinite meaning in such a simple word.
Friends are special people. We can't pick our family, and we're sorely limited in the number of them at any rate. Society and mores (and often our own conscience) dictate we select a single mate. But our friends can be as diverse and infinite as the adjectives we choose. Our friends, in a very real sense, reflect the choices we make in life.

Essay 12: Purpose
God has a purpose in our life.
Everything we do has a significance.
God wants to work through our hands,
speak through our voice,
and love through our hearts.
There was a saying that we are the pencils of God. He guides us using his hands and writing what he wants us to do. In the Filipino saying, we can apply this to "Nasa Diyos and Awa, Nasa tao ang Gawa". That's why we humans rely on everything around us. We become resourceful and completely do the things God wants us to do.
True that a lot of us blame God when we experience crap in our lives. In this kind of state, most of us choose to not to believe in him anymore but isn't it disrespectful of us that when the time comes that we needed him the most, we actually turn to him and to no one else.
Inside the church we are asked if we really believe in God. I was once asked by my Muslim friend if I believe in God. I told him i believe in Him. And he said, how can you prove to me that this God you believe in is real when no one has ever seen Him. I paused for a few moments thinking of what he just said. Of course no living creature has seen God. No one knows his face. And I started to say that even if i don't know my God in flesh, i believe in his works! I mean, how could i be alive if he never created me. How can everything have life if he doesn't exist. I believe in no flesh but of spirit. I won't question God for He is not to be questioned.
Now, this friend of mine knows me very well. He know that i'm fond of solid facts, proofs of every theory that i always come up or find solutions to my questions.
Before the "Da Vinci Code" was released in the Philippines, my friend had a copy from US. He lend this book to me and challenged my faith to God. He gave me a week to read the book and write my own review about my own point of view about the book. Of course not knowing what the content of the book has, i decided to read the book to prove to him that i still believe in my God.
3 days has passed and i have finished reading the book. He immediately came up to me and asked "So? do you still believe in Him?"i laughed for a few seconds and started blabbering about stuff that i know. The book did laid a lot of facts that are too controversing. It took me a week before i regained my senses. And within that time, i always questioned myself if i would let myself be affected of that book of facts. After that week, i consulted the Bible i immediately read everything i could and there! I called my friend and i said.."Yes! i still believe" :)

Essay 11: Crazy World
Why is it so hard to tell the truth...yet so easy to tell a lie,
why do we sleep in the church. but when the sermon is over we suddenly wake up?,
why is it so hard to talk about God...but so easy to talk about sex?,
why are we so bored to look at a holy magazine...but so easy to read a playboy magazine?,
why is it so easy to delete a Godly offline messages ...yet we forward the nasty ones?
Why are churches getting smaller...but yet bars and clubs are growing larger??
there are a lot of questions in my mind,
i mean....
.....think about it....
we're really a bunch of funny people living in this hell of a crazy world....
sometimes..i really can't understand how a human mind thinks...humans truly have a lot of personality...sides of attitudes and even sets of unforeseen grounds...
everyday, there are a lot of things happening and people just blame all these to others especially to God...but do they even wonder why it happened??
humans are so unpredictable...they think and act like no other beings do...we are the highest of all...above all kinds...on top of the list...
i hope someday...things will turn out right for everyone..

Essay 10: Life and Its Challenges
We live in a world torn by conflicting interests, jealousy, aggressiveness, and so many forms of enslavement...all of these are the consequences of SIN, from the first to the latest sin that has darkened the horizontal of mankind. Left to ourselves, we would have been unable to overcome such destructive forces. That is why God promised and sent the Holy Spirit as the divine healing power that can undo the tragedies of division, mistrust, and hatred brought about by human sinfulness.
There are many things in life that will catch your eye. But only a few will catch your heart.... Each day is a little life. We don't know who we are until we see what we can do...until we make peace with who we are, we'll never be contented with what we have. Great choices come and go and no matter how much we try to decide, we always end up with the same story...
Life is like a mirror, we get the best results when we smile at it. To accomplish great things we must not only act, but also dream; not only plan, but also believe. Believe in yourself that you can and you're halfway there...we can believe what we choose. We are answerable for what we choose to believe.
Nothing can bring you peace but yourself.

All of the significant battles are waged within the self. Our life is frittered away by detail... Simplify, simplify. It does not require many words to speak the truth. Nothing great was ever achieved without enthusiasm. Our life is what our thoughts make it that makes us do commitments...in which it is a line that we must cross....it is the difference between dreaming and doing.
In life, you can never do a kindness too soon because you never know how soon it will be too late. The cost of a thing is the amount of life that must be exchanged for it. There is only one success and that is to be able to spend your life in your own way. Life isn't a matter of milestones but of moments and there is no greatness where there is not simplicity, goodness and truth.
Every day is a good day. Thinking is more interesting than knowing, but less interesting than looking. When one door closes, another opens, but we often look so long and so regretfully upon the closed door that we do not see the one which has opened for us. Every exit is an entry somewhere else. No man is a failure who is enjoying life. Only those who dare to fail miserably can achieve greatly.
In life, there are going to be some things in this world that's going to make it hard for us to smile. But whatever we do, through all the rain and the pain, we have to keep our sense of humor and also never forget to smile...
Think you can, think you can't; either way you'll be right. Do the thing you fear, and the death of fear is certain. Fear always springs from ignorance...when you get into a tight place, and it seems you can't go on, hold on, for that's just the place and time that the tide will turn. Though we travel the world over to find the beautiful, we must carry it with us, or we find it not.

Life can be at it's own surprise! from all the things that are happening to all of us, it all comes in different packages. It sometimes feel that in meeting people, you can never tell if they are good or bad despite of their kind words. True that looks can kill...but hey! that's one of the ultimate tests in life. To make decisions for yourself and on how you picture life on your own hands itself.
Life is so mysterious as they say, that is why it is best to EXPECT the UNEXPECTED :)
but of course aside from all of it, each of us has their own course of life. Whatever we choose would be the life we're having to be. What lies beneath the surface will be the reflection that you'll sometimes won't recognize.
A smile can be a mask you can't read. You'll never know what lies behind that smile. Amazing isn't it? how humans can be sooo unpredictable, the human brain is truly the most unsolved puzzle in the great history of the world, only a few descriptions are written in books and some aren't even wide explained..*sigh* but even so, it's really fascinating! :P
Love of Heart is the Greatest treasure on this earth that God Himself has willed to be. It is just the gift of love of heart that He gave to you and me. For, in this gift, he sowed the seeds to harvest goal in life that will fulfill us with contest and give strength, in strife. It is a treasure , meant to be a bond of sacred tie to bless upon us joys of life until the day we die. And by his grace to light the wayto peace of heart and mind...that is the goal of every soulabove all kind :D

True that death is uncertain, may come at any time that is why we should not seek death for Death will ultimately find us. Seek the road which makes death a fulfillment. Do not waste your life doing the things you never wanted. You can't live you life to the fullest if you don't fight and struggle. Be who you are and be want you want to be. No good ever comes out from forced decisions, you'll just end up in the road where you started. Never one step ahead or away from what you never wanted. Do the thing you fear most and the death of fear is certain.
Seeing death as the end of life is like seeing the horizon as the end of the ocean.
Remember that---to be what we are, and to become what we are capable of becoming, is the only end of life.

It's not just some high school test or some college entrance exam. Life's test is far more difficult because we take it on everyday.
If i would be asked what's my style to die? i'll tell them i can't say. If they think that death is just some ceremonial rite that is the end and needs to have some style, i would have to say wake up! this is reality...I would better be eaten to death with a rust than to be scoured to nothing with perpetual motion. This is why i live my life my way even if there are people out there to stop me. Hey! that's a part of life and it will never stop until you reach your final destination...until we become strong enough to consider life and death being in one just a cycle motion.

there was a saying that "you always have a thousand reason to quit..
but for my part, i have never quited anything yet, y? because i live my life to the fullest, i live like i am dying..
i been through ups and downs, through long and dark paths in life but never did i ever quit! i just moved straight on..move on forward and never look back...i had my dreams but if ever i will fail..i'll just have to dream a better dream..

Essay 3: I Can Give Up But Certainly Won't Quit
I never had the nag to quit nor even speak of it..a few years back until today..every person that i met told me that i wasn't a quitter but rather a winner, a positive thinker, one who does it all.
It may have seemed that way though but time has passed and now calls for desperate measures..
The word "quit" is insanitically not in my vocabulary..(or even yet i suppose) but whatever happens i never wanted to say that word nor think of it or speak of it..*sigh*
For my whole entire life, the word "QUIT" is such a strong word! A word with the letters that strikes through my soul bringing forth my weakness..I was taught of so many things that i overcame a lot, I came across the invisible bridges, travel through my way up the scoreboard and even risk a lot..brought up with the words Efficiency, Effectiveness and Excellence..or what we all called the 3E's..I always struggle, fight more, resist and aim.
From all this crap and drama that i sometimes blab about, I was try to look on the brighter side of life. Although it's hard to do..but sooner or later, the answers are right in front of me when i wasn't looking :)
From my experiences in life..Effort only fully releases its reward after a person refuses to quit..Indeed this is true. I am a certified sporty girl and not just that...a lot tells me that i'm multi-talented (hhmmm..am i really??) sure i do a lot of stuff but i have my reasons on why i do it! tell you one reason.."Doing nothing is the most tiresome job in the world because you cannot quit and rest" i get crazy if you leave me for a minute or so doing nothing. i like to move much, doing things is my specialty. If I rest it's boring. When i'm in training mode, i always stick to the "No Pain, No Gain" motto --- y? because pain is just temporary, sure it may last a minute, or an hour, and in case of injury..a year, but eventually it will subside and something else would take place. If i quit, it lasts forever.
My directors said that i'm the type of person that can't say the word "NO", i dunno why but it's always been like that when i'm given a task, no matter how hard it is, i always end up doing it successfully. True that mostly i don't play on the safe side in life XD but hey! this is me! this is what i am! what you see is what you get :D
a simple rule for myself i always follow:
"Before you speak, listen.
Before you write, think.
Before you spend, earn.
Before you invest, investigate.
Before you criticize, wait.
Before you pray, forgive.
Before you quit, try.
Before you retire, save.
Before you die, give.
"We will always have 1,000 reasons to quit on life. Winners are not those who never fail, but those who never quit. Whenever we make a mistake or get knocked down by life, don't look back at it too long. Mistakes are life's way of teaching you. Our capacity for occasional blunders is inseparable from our capacity to reach our goals. No one wins them all, and our failures, when they happen, are just part of our growth. Shake off the blunders. How will we know our limits without an occasional failure? Never quit. Our turn will come.
There's only one thing that can guarantee our failure, and that's if we quit. Most people give up just when they're about to achieve success. A professional writer is an amateur who didn't quit and i'm proud of it! because all of us became amateurs before we succeeded and came to the top. Although some people fold after making one timid request, they quit too soon. Keep asking until you find the answers, that's what i do! i never think of what people would say if i ask questions in those times my professor made me come along with him to all those seminars, conventions and contests. He told me that "the way to get started is to quit talking and begin doing"
It's always too early to quit as they may say. and i believe they are right. I lived my life for almost 17 full years, what more could be more different? hardship? haha..maybe so..but whatever happens.I would regret everything i've done it i say "I QUIT"

Essay 2: Christmas
If you're like me, you may have heard the world's comments and evaluations of this time of the year. And one of the phrases that you hear a lot is the "Christmas spirit, we need to have the Christmas spirit."
And, of course, I began to think about that being somewhat analytical, just what is the Christmas spirit? I suppose there are a lot of potential answers to that question. To Scrooge the Christmas spirit was a ghost. To the liquor industry the Christmas spirit comes in a bottle. Some people feel that the Christmas spirit is somehow the truce that takes place in the family where nobody brings up the issues, the quarrels. I suppose for some people the Christmas spirit is expressed in a card that conveys a sentiment of well being.
One little boy suggested that the Christmas spirit is really contentment because that's what you need to be when you don't get what you want. For some people the Christmas spirit is an attitude of happiness found in the fellowship of friends, or the party spirit. For many, however, the Christmas spirit is not so trivial or so frivolous or so fun. For many the Christmas spirit is one of profound sadness, increased depression because all that is wrong in your life is then measured against the hilarity of the time and seems even more profoundly painful.
As a writer, I put this in a very personal expression of pain, "Christmas is a bitter day for mothers who are poor. The wistful eyes of children are daggers to endure. Though shops are crammed with playthings enough for everyone, if a mother's purse is empty there might as well be none."
And then ended with these words,
"My purse is full of money but I cannot buy a toy, only a wreath of holly for the grave of my little boy."
And Christmas is like that for some people.
For others it's a time for saying thanks for some very basic things. G. K. Chesterton years ago said, "When we were children we were grateful to those who filled our stockings with toys at Christmas, why are we not grateful to God for filling our stocking with legs?"
Mostly though, I guess the spirit of Christmas is giving presents. Billions of dollars of worth as a result of people colliding and careening around in crowded stores, everything from nickel candy to multi-million dollar pieces of jewelry and everything in between and stuffing stockings and wrapping packages. And the spirit of Christmas, they tell us, is giving. And that's all right. I'm no Scrooge. I don't want to rain on anybody's parade. But I would just like to know what the true spirit of Christmas is?
Well, as always, the best answer to that question is to go the Bible. In Luke chapter 1 and 2, the spirit of Christmas really is written there as my aunt just said.

5. It's hard to be Wise when you're deeply inlove.
6. Your parents brought you up, don't bring them down.
7. They say time is a BIG healer but that's a big Lie. Wounds can only heal if you decide to be cured.
